About the course

Adobe Dreamweaver is designed for users who need to know how to create and maintain web sites. It is ideal for people who work in office or school environments, corporations or clubs. Learn common website terminologies, basic website structure, add and format text, create links and anchors, insert images, create image hotspots and rollover images. Also learn basic HTML, present your page using CSS (Cascading Style Sheets), and basic page layout using AP Divs. By the end of the program you should be able to understand the key aspects and components of a basic business website. This is a beginners' course but basic computing skills are a prerequisite.

At the completion of this course you should be able to:

  • understand the key aspects and components of a business website
  • open files and work effectively with the Dreamweaver workspace
  • define a Dreamweaver site
  • create and edit CSS rules and apply them to text
  • manage the typography in your site using CSS
  • create and work with hyperlinks on a web page
  • design and lay out web pages using CSS
  • create, format and work with tables
  • create and work with Dreamweaver templates
  • insert useful meta tags into web pages


As this is a beginner level course, it assumes little or no prior knowledge of the software. However, a general understanding of personal computer and Windows 7 or later is essential.

Delivery strategy

This course is delivered in a face to face trainer led environment using different learning strategies such as practical demonstrations and real life scenarios. There is no formal assessment involved, however students will be given practice activities to enhance their learning experience.
