Administration Officer Skills

Planning to move into an office administration role or already working in a similar area? Want to make a difference in your role by learning how to deliver premium level client service experience? If you have answered yes, then this course will be the right choice for you. This course is designed to cover key aspects of Office Administration Assistant or Administration Officer. A Statement of Attainment is issued on successful completion of all required assessments.

Whilst this course is delivered in a face-to-face classroom environment, it may be available on flexible mode as well i.e. you will study at your own time and pace and a trainer will be allocated to assist you with your course progress via email or phone. When delivered on flexible basis, you will start with a face-to-face meeting of approximately 2 hours with your trainer at our North Parramatta venue to discuss about your training and assessment plan. This face-to-face initial meeting can also be done on Skype if you are unable to attend in person. Skype session requires fast internet, a computer and a high-resolution web cam. For the classroom course, please see the timetable at the bottom of this page.

How much I will be paying if I am not qualified for the Government Subsidy?

The course price is $1250. If you refer someone, you and your referral will also receive referral discount.

Eligibility to enrol into this course:

This course requires strong language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) skills for successful completion. If you believe you will need to develop your LLN skills, please feel free to let us know. We can arrange an English assessment for you to understand your level. Besides the LLN skills, it is expected that candidates already have some exposure to an office environment and have a previous qualification. You will need to complete an eligibility checklist to provide us with information about your work experience and/or previous qualifications. You will also need to provide a copy of your current CV.

Please note this course may not be suitable for those who have no previous qualification and/or exposure to an office environment.

BSBWHS311 Assist with maintaining workplace safety
BSBCRT311 Apply critical thinking skills in a team environment
BSBOPS303 Organise schedules
BSBPEF301 Organise personal work priorities

Assessment strategies

Assessments for this qualification include both formative and summative assessments and include questions and answers, portfolio of evidence, project assignments and third-party report. You will be provided with assessment tasks at the beginning of your course during the face-to-face session.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

If you believe you have relevant skills and experience satisfying the competency requirement of this qualification, please consult with your trainer for the possibility of recognition. The trainer will provide you with a clear guideline on the RPL assessments and evidence requirements.

Final outcome

On successful completion of all assessments, you will be awarded with a Statement of Attainment from BSB30120 Certificate III in Business.
