TAESS00014 - Enterprise Trainer-Presenting Skill Set

About the course

This skills set is designed for those trainers who mainly deliver their training in a classroom environment and under supervision. Candidates will learn the essential skills and knowledge required to prepare, deliver and review a training activity and to demonstrate work skills face to face in the classroom. On successful completion of all required assessments, a Statement of Attainment will be issued for TAESS00014 Enterprise Trainer – Presenting Skill Set that includes TAEDEL301 Provide work skill instruction and BSBCMM401 Make a presentation.

What I will learn

At the completion of the course, you are expected to be able to -

Organise instruction and demonstration
Prepare a presentation
Conduct instruction and demonstration
*Check the training performance
Review personal training performance and finalise documentation


Whilst there are no prerequisites for this course, it is expected that you have strong language, literacy and numeracy skills to be able to understand the complex nature of work skill instruction and making a presentation in a workplace context. You are also required to produce evidence of your current industry experience by presenting a copy of your resume.

Delivery strategies

Whilst the course is originally designed for classroom trainer led delivery, due to COVID-19 pandemic, it will be delivered via Zoom video conferencing system until further notice. The delivery strategies include presentations by an industry expert and qualified trainer, case study analysis, and role play. The course will require completion of some in-class activities as well as some activities to be completed at home at your own time and pace. The training will guide you through those activities. Approximately 20 hours of personal study recommended for a thorough understanding of the competency requirements and to prepare for the assessments.

Assessment strategies

Assessments for this program include case study analysis, presentation and questionnaire. Your trainer will explain at the start of the program what activities or tasks you will need to complete as part of the assessments. If you have any special needs that may cause obstacle in your normal practice, please let the trainer know immediately so any possible adjustments can be made to the assessments. Assessments must be completed within the designated deadline; however extension may be possible on compassionate or compelling grounds. You must have a compelling or compassionate ground to seek extension for assessment submission.
You will have maximum of two attempts to submit your assessments. If you are considered Not Yet Competent after the second submission with significant gaps prevailing in your submissions, you may be asked to re-enroll into the course.

Resource requirements

Learner manuals will be provided at no further cost than the course fee. As the course will be delivered via Zoom, you will need to have a computer/laptop, good internet connection and a webcam.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

If you believe you already have skills and experience relevant to the competencies of this course, please let the trainer know for a recognition. Please note that applying for RPL may not automatically result in the issuing of the skill set. In case of any gaps found, you will be advised of those gaps and asked to provide further evidence against your RPL claim. If you are still considered Not Yet Competent (NYC), you may be offered a tutorial for those gaps, which will incur further cost.

Final outcome

On successful completion of the skill set, you will be awarded with a Statement of Attainment comprising of two units from TAE training package – TAEDEL301 Provide work skill instruction and BSBCMM401 Make a presentation
